Hey guys, do I look heroic up here? - Jameson standing on the rock next to the 7th green before having to hit his second shot
"The more I practice the luckier I get" really sums up yesterday's round for me. I caught a lucky break on the first hole when my approach shot hit the tree behind the green on the left and bounced back toward the hole. I caught another break on six, when my approach missed right but was saved by the wooden guard rail along the cart path. On 12, 13, and 14, I made it up and down on each hole to go par, birdie, par. And finally on 17, my tee shot bounced out of the woods on the left and back into the fairway, allowing me to reach the green in 2 and make par.
I wanted to make sure I attributted the quote above to the correct person, and it started me down a rabbit hole. Thomas Jefferson once said "I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have." The quote I used gets attributed to both Arnold Palmer and Gary Player, so I'm not sure who actually said it first. Feel free to chime in if you know the answer.
