2014 Club Champions
Championship
Flight Eisenberg over Gramolini, T
Andy teed off for the second leg of the championship holding an 8 Up lead and went up from there. He won five of the first seven holes - Tom never had a chance. Congratulations to our new club champion, Andy Eisenberg. Er, I mean our repeat champion on his 8th consectuive victory. Well done, Andy.
A Flight Hastings over DiFiore 5 and 4
In a demonstration of how important coffee can be to the morning golfer, Rich Hastings came on strong before Joie DiFiore had a chance to wake up. Rich was up two after two and then up five after eight. Joie did figure it out on the back, but that was too late. Rich's natural birdie on #13 brought him back to 5 Up and when they pushed #14 the match was over.
B Flight GoldbergJ over Greenberg 4 and 3
In a very tight match with only two holes pushed, each player won his share. But it was Jeremy who got hot on the back and won #12, #13 and #14 in a row to go 4 Up. When they pushed #15 that gave Jeremy the match 4 and 3.
C Flight Cohlan over Zappulla 2 Up
Ron Zappulla started strong, winning the first hole. Rob Cohlan tied it up on #3 and was 2Up at the turn. The back was a close fight with each player winning three holes, so that on #17 tee Rob was still 2Up. Zappulla was gunning for a miracle and won #17; only 1 Down with One to go... but Rob's nice par on #18 closed the deal. Nice win, Mr. Cohlan.
