Playoff Format

The playoffs will consist of three elimination rounds and The Finals, all to be played on four consecutive Saturdays starting on September 17 with the Finals taking place on October 8. Initial seeding will be based upon SaXon Cup points earned during the season.  The top 32 players and ties will make it into the Playoffs.  After the first playoff round on September 17 the field will be reduced to 24, and further reduced to 16 after the second playoff round on September 24. The remaining "Sweet Sixteen" will compete on October 1 after which the field will be reduced to the top 12 for the Finals.

Scoring for all rounds will be on a net basis, using 100% of a player's Course Handicap. Be sure you are posting each week; the lidless eye is always watching.

Cards need to be signed, attested and turned in after each round - NO CARD NO POINTS!

Playoff Rounds:
Points from the season will carry over into the Playoffs.  Additional points will be awarded according to your total net score for each of the Playoff rounds.

The Finals:
For the final round the remaining 12 players will be ranked in order of playoff finish.  All previously earned points will be thrown out and new points will be assigned, so that even the player in the 12th spot has a shot – just like those other guys.

• 1st 250 points
• 2nd 225 points
• 3rd 200 points
• 4th 180 points
• 5th 160 points
• 6th 140 points
• 7th 120 points
• 8th 100 points
• 9th 80 points
• 10th 60 points
• 11th 48 points
• 12th 44 points

Points for the finals will be the same as the three previous playoff rounds with the 1st place finisher being awarded 250 points and the 12th place finisher 33 points. The Saxonite with the highest point total after the playoffs wins the cup and some money (but not quite $10 Million).
